Why this room is hard

It is not a Tock problem. It is a three-week window.

Carlos Delgado spent a decade cooking in Lima before opening Causa in a Blagden Alley row house in 2023. The eight-course tasting menu is the only fine-dining Peruvian room in Washington, and it earned a Michelin star inside its first year.

Tock opens three weeks ahead. The dining room books out the moment new dates open at 9am Eastern. The upstairs bar Amazonia (same team) takes walk-ins for ceviche and pisco and is the easier door.

One star. One chef. Three weeks out.

Questions

Causa, the FAQ.

How do I get a reservation at Causa?

Name Causa and the night you want. We book it on your account the instant a table opens or a cancellation appears, and you only pay if we actually get it.

Why is Causa so hard to book?

Causa is one of the most in-demand tables in Shaw. Prime-time seats are claimed within seconds of release, and many never reach the public at all, so refreshing on your own rarely works.

When do Causa reservations open up?

Causa releases tables on a set schedule, and seats also reappear when other guests cancel. We watch both around the clock and move the instant one opens, so you never have to refresh at midnight.

How much does it cost to book Causa through The Elusive List?

One flat fee, charged only when we confirm your table. No table, no charge. Sign in to see the exact fee for Causa.
