John Wesley opened Kiln in Hayes Valley in 2023 and pulled a Michelin star inside its first year. The room is a counter facing the wood-fired kitchen; the menu is a tasting that leans on the fire.
Tock opens about a month ahead. The room is small enough that any given month sells out in the first few days of release.

How do I get a reservation at Kiln?

Why is Kiln so hard to book?
Kiln is one of the most in-demand tables in Hayes Valley. Prime-time seats are claimed within seconds of release, and many never reach the public at all, so refreshing on your own rarely works.
When do Kiln reservations open up?
Kiln releases tables on a set schedule, and seats also reappear when other guests cancel. We watch both around the clock and move the instant one opens, so you never have to refresh at midnight.
