Stefano Secchi (Rezdôra, a few blocks north) opened Massara in the Flatiron with a Southern Italian menu and a dining room built around the prepaid prix-fixe model. The room hit the city's prepaid Best top 20 within months.
OpenTable opens two weeks ahead. The prepaid slots clear in the first minute of release; the bar takes walk-ins for a shorter menu when seats open. Rezdôra, a few blocks north, is the sibling door.
