Jody Williams and Rita Sodi opened Via Carota on Grove Street in 2014 with a no-reservations format for the dining room and a vegetable-led Italian menu. The room has been one of the most-walked-into rooms in the city for a decade.
Resy is now a path for some seats; the room still runs a strong walk-in standby for the rest. Off-peak hours and weekday lunches are the practical doors. I Sodi and Pisellino are the sibling rooms within a few blocks.
